Following the success of the earlier Alliance of European National Movements and BNP event in Manchester which saw over £5,000 being raised for the British National Party 2014 Euro Election campaign, the evening of Saturday the 19th October saw the annual Trafalgar Club gathering.
50 patriots from up and down the country gathered in Chester – linked to Nelson as Lady Emma Hamilton was born in nearby Ness, Neston – to remember the battle of Trafalgar, to toast Nelson, and to listen to Nick Griffin MEP, and special guest Bruno Gollnisch MEP from the Front National and the AEMN give their second speeches of the day.
Following a fantastic meal, and more chocolate on the profiteroles than was almost possible to eat, Bruno then Nick gave interesting and thought-provoking speeches. Our very own BNP double-act, National Treasurer Clive Jefferson and National Organiser Adam Walker then proposed the toast to Nelson, before Clive sold Adam to the highest bidder! Together with on-the-night donations, raffle money and pledges, the Trafalgar Club were delighted to be able to announce that £4,250 was raised to help with the 2014 Euro Elections.
One set of pledges were as a result of our brand new ‘Sponsor an Activist’s Membership’ scheme – an exclusive idea by members of the Trafalgar Club to pledge membership fees for our British National Party activists who (for whatever reason) are currently unable to meet their own membership dues at present. This exciting new scheme means that there are already the membership fees sat waiting for 100 activists all over the UK.
Regional Organisers will shortly be informed of the number of activists they can put forward for assistance from this pot – and a massive thanks must go to Dave for suggesting this idea in the first instance – and for agreeing to be one of the first people to personally sponsor the membership fee for our deserving activists.
Sunday morning saw 22 attendees of the Trafalgar Club dinner meet again, this time for a guided tour (by an American Roman – go figure!) of historic Deva (Chester). As we know, God smiles on the Nationalists, and, true enough, the rain clouds parted and we were treated to a 60 minute stroll in the Autumn sun.
Below are a selection of pictures from the two days:
